Sasha & Bayley Look Ahead To NXT, Braun Strowman Reflects On 2-On-1 Challenge | Backlash Fight-Size

– The night kicked off with Sasha Banks and Bayley retaining their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. They will now defend the championship on the next episode of NXT against Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart.

Braun Strowman successfully retained his WWE Universal Championship match against The Miz and John Morrison thanks to some miscommunication between the duo. Afterward, Strowman took some time to reflect on the match.

– On the kickoff, Apollo Crews successfully defended the United States Championship against Andrade, thanks to some help from Kevin Owens.

– Jeff Hardy tried to gain a measure of redemption against Sheamus but was met with a Brogue Kick instead.

– Thanks to some inadvertent interference from Lana, Drew McIntyre successfully retained the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley.

– Asuka fought Nia Jax to a double count-out

– In a wild segment, the Street Profits and the Viking Raiders fought off Akira Tozawa and some ninjas. In the end, referee Jessika Carr would find both tag teams in a dumpster and tell Ivar that she thinks he’s cute.

– In the greatest wrestling match ever which featured introductions from the legendary Howard Finkel, old school ref outfits, and F-bombs from Randy Orton, Randy won.

– As first reported by Fightful Select, Edge suffered a torn triceps in the epic encounter with Randy.
