Sasha Banks Wants To Headline A Saudi Event, Would Welcome Dean Ambrose And Ruby Riott Back To WWE

Sasha Banks wants to keep making history.

Banks headlined WrestleMania 37 against Bianca Belair as the two women became the first African-American females to headline WrestleMania and the first women’s singles match to headline the event. One year later, Banks & Naomi won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

For the rest of 2022, Banks has more headlining dreams.

“I just want to continue to keep on shaking the table,” she told Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston when asked about 2022 goals. “I want to keep on making history. For myself, I would love to main event a pay-per-view in Saudi. I would love for the tag team championships to be represented over there and to main event. The main event of any pay-per-view, representing [the tag team titles], is the goal of 2022. Me and Naomi can accomplish that.”

Banks and Naomi have both competed in past Saudi Arabia events.

Other history made at WrestleMania 38 was the return of Cody Rhodes, who came back to WWE for the first time since 2016 after leaving and helping form AEW.

Speaking about Cody’s return, Sasha said, “For myself, it’s so cool. I am such a big fan of the Rhodes family. Dusty Rhodes has given me everything, laid the foundation for me. To see the Rhodes back in WWE is so cool. Next, let’s bring back Goldust, let’s bring them all back. Dean Ambrose, you want to come? Let’s go, the more the merrier. Let’s do it. I would love to see Ruby Riott back in the WWE Universe. Absolutely.”

Goldust (Dustin Rhodes), Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), and Ruby Riott (Ruby Soho) are all currently signed to AEW.

Banks & Naomi are set to defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan on Monday’s WWE Raw.
