Sasha Banks Wanted To Be Female Eddie Guerrero

Sasha Banks is one of the most charismatic wrestlers in the WWE. But before she became The Legit Boss, she had one Superstar she tried to emulate.

The former women’s champion talked to Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard blog and said how a former ECW, WCW and WWE talent who would lie, cheat and steal inspired her and was her favorite wrestler.

“Eddie Guerrero is my number one,” Banks said. “He is the reason I am in the WWE–I wanted to be the female version of him.”

Banks won the WWE Women’s Championship on the July 25 episode of Raw, defeating Charlotte with her Bank Statement submission. The 24 year old wrestler lost the title at SummerSlam, after holding it for less than a month. But Banks is well aware of the importance of patience in the sports entertainment industry.

“You can’t get selfish, and that’s the number one thing I’ve learned at WWE. The world continues to go round, and I just knew–given the right opportunity and the right moment–that the world would know I was good, but now the world knows that I’m great,” Banks said.

With a main roster call up and winning the women’s title, one might think The Legit Boss is satisfied with her success. She is, but she knows she can do much, much more.

“I’ve accomplished so many of my dreams already, but main-eventing WrestleMania is a dream,” Banks said. “Also, I want to be on the cover of the 2K game next year–bye bye, Brock. The sky is the limit, and there is no limit to my dreams.”
