Sasha Banks Makes First Women’s Title Defense In Six Tries, Defeats Bayley On WWE SmackDown
The streak. Is over.
After failing to defend the Women’s Title in her first five runs as a singles champion, Sasha Banks got the monkey off her back when she defeated Bayley on SmackDown. Banks won the title at Hell in a Cell, but the story going into the rematch was that Banks has never defended a singles title on the main roster.
Banks is a five-time Raw Women’s Champion, but in each of her reigns on the red brand, she lost the title in her first defense. Bayley tried to make it six for six on SmackDown, but Banks was able to overcome everything Bayley threw at her, retaining her title by forcing Bayley to tap out to the Banks statement.

Banks’ celebration did not last long as she was attacked by Carmella after the bout.
