On the September 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm defeated Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, and Hikaru Shida to earn a shot at AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

The title match will pit Saraya against her former stablemate in The Outcasts, as Storm has been at odds with the group since AEW All In. There, Storm and Saraya competed in a four-way match for the title, and Saraya emerged victorious. Storm also cost Ruby Soho of The Outcasts her title match against TBS Champion Kris Statlander at AEW All Out.

Saraya took to social media to share her thoughts ahead of the match, and she stated that Storm is her best friend. She wrote that the “ass-kicking” she will have to give Storm is out of pure love.

In another post, Saraya commented on the match and noted that the match will hurt her more than Storm knows. However, she stated that it will be for Storm’s own good and well-being.
