SANADA And David Finlay To Meet In NJPW New Japan Cup Finals
The finals in the New Japan Cup are set.
David Finlay and SANADA will meet in the finals of the 2023 New Japan Cup. Finlay defeated Tama Tonga in the semifinals, finishing him off with the trash panda. SANADA knocked off Mark Davis in his semifinal bout, winning with his transformed DDT.
The two men will meet on March 21. The winner will face Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at NJPW Sakura Genesis.

Finlay, who aligned with Bullet Club during the tournament, knocked off Tomohiro Ishii, Great-O-Khan, and Shota Umino before getting past Tonga in the semifinals. SANADA, who left Los Ingobernables de Japon and aligned with Just Five Guys during the tournament, got past Taichi, KENTA, and Tetsuya Naito before defeating Davis.
