Samoa Joe Open To Working As A Producer When He Retires
Samoa Joe is showing no signs of slowing down at the age of 39, but when his time is up, he’s already making plans.
Speaking to Sam Roberts on the Notsam Wrestling Podcast, Joe discussed what he would like to do when he eventually hangs up his boots.
“If I have something that I can contribute and my participation in the industry is going to make it better, I’m all for it. I’m not going to stick around longer than I’m welcome. I’ve been in talks with WWE and several other people about at some point in life doing some more backstage stuff. I’d love to be involved in developmental with some of the newer wrestlers. My time in NXT, I really enjoyed. The program and the culture that they are starting down there is something special. I wouldn’t mind being part of it later in life.”
Joe made his NXT debut at TakeOver: Unstoppable, confronting Kevin Owens. He was the first-ever two-time NXT Champion, defeating Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura. Joe is currently feuding with WWE Champion AJ Styles on SmackDown.
