Samoa Joe: I’m Not Done In The Ring By No Means
Samoa Joe’s in-ring career isn’t over.
It’s been a rough 2020 for Joe as he returned to the ring in January after missing the last three months of 2019 with a broken thumb. Joe’s return didn’t last long as he reportedly suffered a concussion and violated the WWE wellness policy in February. Joe has spent his time away from in-ring competition by serving as a commentator on Raw.
Speaking to Taylor Wilde on Wilde On, Joe provided an update on his current status.
“As of right now, I’m just doing commentary on Raw and it’s been a fun challenge. It’s something new and I’m enjoying that. Obviously, I’m not done in the ring by no means. I’m just exploring things and see how I feel about things. Aside from that, doing a lot of voice acting lately and it’s fun and cool and an enjoyable thing. Some projects on the horizon, a project coming out pretty soon with Warner Bros. It’s a cool thing. I’m very fortunate and very happy that I’m doing the things I’m doing right now,” said Joe.
It is unknown when Joe will be able to return to the ring. He was not part of the WWE Draft pool for the 2020 Draft.
