In recent weeks, AEW programming has featured the AEW Continental Classic, a star-studded tournament that includes Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, Eddie Kingston, Jay White, and other stars. The hard-fought matches have sparked plenty of buzz on the road to the tournament finals at AEW Worlds End.
Speaking with Jay Reddick of the Orlando Sentinel, Samoa Joe commented on the tournament and called it one of the best new things to come along in a while.
“It’s been a fantastic tournament, with matches defying expectations every single night. Everybody’s giving 120% in the ring. It’s one of the best new things to come along in a while. When the participants were first announced, that sparked more excitement in the locker room than just about anything lately, and everybody’s gone so far above and beyond as a result,” Joe said.
