SAG-AFTRA Approves Tentative Agreement To End Actors Strike
Good news for actors.
According to Variety, SAG-AFTRA have approved a tentative agreement that will end the actors strike against the film and TV studios.
The strike went on for 118 days and was the longest in history.
The union said the strike would officially end at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday. The agreement next goes to the SAG-AFTRA national board for approval on Friday. The full details are expected to be released Friday, after the national board vote.
While wrestling was not directly affected by the strike as wrestlers are independent contractors, there was the benefit of John Cena working two months in WWE and The Rock making a surprise appearance on the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Cena stated that he got written approval from SAG before he returned to WWE while the strike was ongoing. Cena made weekly appearances on WWE SmackDown beginning on September 15 and competed at two WWE Premium Live Events.
After losing to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel, Cena waved to the crowd as he received a standing ovation.
