Sadie Gibbs Was Days Away From Coming To America Before Pandemic Hit

Sadie Gibbs only had a handful of matches in AEW, but she was planning on a big move before the pandemic.

Unfortunately, as travel began to shutdown in March, Gibbs was unable to make it to America. She was eventually released by AEW in August.

Speaking to Vickie Guerrero on Excuse Me, Sadie detailed her plans before the pandemic.

“I was planning on moving out. My flight was booked for [March] 25, my suitcases were packed and ready. Then it all happened on the 20th and I thought, ‘Maybe I wasn’t meant to go at this time.’ It was within five days, I couldn’t believe it. It’s gutting, but I don’t like to be in a negative headspace where I’m dwelling on everything and feeling sorry for myself because I’m lucky these opportunities came into my life. I just have to take what I can from it and keep going,” she said.

Vickie said Sadie was well-liked in the locker room and that the girls in AEW miss her.

Gibbs was part of the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out 2019 and then wrestled two matches on Dark. She never wrestled on AEW Dynamite and didn’t wrestle for AEW since October 2019.
