Sabu Says He Needs To Have His Knee And Shoulder Replaced
Sabu talks about his injuries.
Sabu wrestled a very hardcore style for a very long time as a member of the ECW roster and beyond. Of course, that level of physicality eventually catches up to any performer, and even though he has his fair share of injuries, Sabu says he does not feel too bad.
During a recent appearance on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, “The homicidal, suicidal, and death-defying” Sabu spoke about some of his lingering injuries, revealing that, among other things, he needs to have a knee and a shoulder replacement, but he has put it off.
“I’ll tell you, I’ve felt better. I don’t feel really bad, but I feel pretty bad. My knee, my back, and my shoulders, they all need surgery. I’ve been going to the gym lately, but I have to suck it up and go. It’s never, ‘Alright, today I feel good.’ It’s like, ‘fuck,’ and it’s tough… I need my knee and my shoulder replaced, but I haven’t gotten around to it.”
Sabu also talked about recovering from hip surgery.
“I had my hip replaced. It took me about six months until I felt like working out. The pain was gone the first day,” he said.
Furthermore, Sabu says his neck is doing okay but he has spinal stenosis in his back.
“My neck is alright. My back, I got spinal stenosis, and then my shoulder needs a complete replacement. My knee, also.”
Sabu said that he doesn’t know when he’ll have any of this work done because he’s currently setting up for his final match.
Sabu would like for his final match to be against Rob Van Dam. Read more about that here.
