Russo: Please Don’t Make Me Watch Raw
Can you imagine, going to a movie theater and sitting through a movie you absolutely HATE. Then, next day, you go back to that same movie theatre and WATCH IT AGAIN?!
That's how I feel every Monday night when I watch RAW. Even though I enjoy some of the actors . . . I HATE THE MOVIE!!! I don't want to watch RAW any more. I don't want to critique it. I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to bury it. In all honesty, I'd rather not even hear about it.
The truth is, that IN MY OPINION, RAW is so bad, that I actually stop doing my RAW Review, every Monday night immediately follow the show, for my Beloved Brand. That translates into me actually LEAVING MONEY ON THE TABLE because I just didn't want to go through any more agony and torture every Monday night.
After making that decision, I thought I was done with the show for GOOD. That's when I wrote to Sean Ross Sapp, and asked him if I could have another assignment to fulfill my obligations to Fightful.com. Sean told me he'd speak to his higher ups . . .which he did. Unfortunately, the higher ups came back with the proposal of me swapping my RAW column for weekly reviews of "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas" in addition to post shows covering the WWE "big shows".
Well, off the bat, I am obligated to do the post "big shows" somewhere else, and quite frankly, I found it as a total act of disrespect to ask me to cover Divas and Bellas on E!. Seriously? Do you really think I'm going to sit through both of those shows every week?
So—I'm still watching RAW because I am contractually obligated to do so, and Fightful has every right to hold me to our contract. I totally understand that we have an agreement in place, and I WILL NO DOUBT HONOR THAT.
BUT–with that—PLEASE don't ask me why I continue to watch RAW if I LOATHE IT so much. I'm watching it because I am legally obligated to do so.
However . . . even a LAWSUIT may be worth me not having to watch this elementary, vanilla, bland, boring, passionless HOT MESS every week!!!
