Rusev Challenges WWE Universe: If You Put Out Something Negative, Follow With Ten Things Positive

Bobby Lashley and Lana have received a lot of hate for their current cheating angle alongside Rusev. Both have stated that they’ve received death threats for their part in the storyline. And Rusev wants fans to relax on how far they are taking their comments towards his real life wife and on-screen enemies.

Speaking to Jerry Lawler on the Jerry Lawler Show, Rusev discussed the negativity the parties have received, and in general, on social media.

“People love it, people hate it. With the power of social media, now it’s like people want to be a cool guy and cheer against WWE. You can put the greatest segment in WWE history, but there will be 3% of people who will bash it. You have your rights, I’m not gonna judge you for it. There’s some people who want to see three hours of powerbombs. We are a broad company. Entertainment. It’s not about powerbombs and armdrags, it’s about entertaining millions and millions,” said Rusev. “It proves that this works. And it started with Maria Kanellis and the way everything evolved and developed. We’re putting time and thought into it. Sit back, relax, and enjoy it. Don’t just bash everything. I want to issue a challenge to the WWE Universe, when you want to put something negative; go ahead and do it. But follow up with ten positives. So we can all utilize social media not just to express frustration, but also positive vibes. We should all want to be more positive. It’s more fun.”

Lana has openly discussed the amount of online bullying she has received since the storyline started in September. You can view her full comments by clicking here.

Rusev and Lashley are set to battle in the ring this Monday, Jan. 13 on WWE Raw.
