Roppongi 3K Win Super Junior Tag Tournament, Young Bucks Challenge For The Titles
Things are coming up rather nicely for Sho and Yoh — together as Roppongi 3K, they have not only won the IWGP Jr. tag team titles, but are now winners of the Super Junior Tag Tournament.
They defeated the team of ACH and Ryusuke Taguchi to win the tournament and the titles early this morning at Power Struggle. The Young Bucks, however, cut the celebration short and challenged for the titles. They picked up a win earlier over Titan and Dragon Lee of CMLL, debuting a new submission finish called the Cease and Desist, a sharpshooter/crossface combination.
Sho and Yoh seemingly accepted, meaning that the two teams will face off somewhere down the line. It seems like WrestleKingdom could be the venue for the match, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Roppongi 3K made their debut at King of Pro Wrestling back on October 9 and have quickly established themselves as the top talent on the junior heavyweight tag team scene. On their first night in, they beat Ricochet and Rysuke Taguchi, spoiling their first title defense and becoming the new champions on their first night in. During the Super Junior Tag Tournament, they beat Hirai Kawato and KUSHIDA, as well as BUSHI and Hiromu Takahashi to make it to the finals.
