Ronda Rousey Pushes Becky Lynch And Charlotte Flair Off Ladder, Asuka Wins SmackDown Women’s Title At WWE TLC

What a match from these three competitors.

Coming into this match there were a multitude of stories deriving from all three competitors. The main event of WWE’s TLC pay-per-view was the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship Triple-Threat TLC match between the champion Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Asuka.

For Becky Lynch, this was her first match back since November after she was put out of commission by Nia Jax when Nia caught Becky with a flush shot to the face that seemingly made Becky the most popular superstar in all of WWE. For Charlotte Flair, she was hell bent on finding herself as a competitor again and that began at the 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view after she was hand-picked by Becky Lynch to face the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey because Becky was not medically cleared to do so. For Asuka, this was about coming to the main roster as the undefeated “Empress Of Tomorrow” and losing that aura and winning streak once she was defeated by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34 and lost two straight championship matches to Carmella over the summer.

All of those stories bundled up into one led to the main event of tonight’s show.

It was a brutal match and all three women put their bodies on the line. There was a point during the match when Becky propped Asuka and Charlotte on the announce table to recreate the leg drop off the Ladder spot from ‘Evolution’. Asuka moved out of the way and Becky ended up driving her leg through the stomach of Charlotte.

The final moments of the match saw Becky Lynch and Charlotte battling it out on the top of the ladder but out of nowhere the crowd came unglued and it was because the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey who has issues with both Becky and Charlotte came to the ring. Ronda pushed Charlotte and Becky off the ladder and following up on that was Asuka who climbed up and won her first championship on the main roster.
