Ronda Rousey Issues An Open Challenge, Tony Nese Bets On Himself, And More | Fight Size

AEW Rampage

– In the opening match of the night, Death Triangle defeated The Butcher, The Blade, and Marq Quen. After the match, House of Black appeared on the ring apron to confront Death Triangle, but after the lights went out for a second time, they vanished.

– Shawn Spears hit an impressive C4 on Bear Boulder to pick up the win on Rampage. He sent a message to Wardlow after the match saying that The Chairman cometh.

– Smart Mark Sterling doesn’t plan on competing at Double or Nothing, but Tony Nese isn’t worried as he believes he can beat Danhausen and HOOK by himself. He even tells Sterling to bet $10,000 on them once they arrive in Vegas.

– Ruby Soho defeated Riho to advance to the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

– Billy Gunn held a team meeting between Gunn Club and The Acclaimed during which they came up with a hand gesture and catchphrase. He even used his pull to get them a match this Monday on Elevation.

Tony Schiavone revealed that Kris Statlander will be taking Hikaru Shida’s place in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and will face Red Velvet in the quarterfinals next Friday.

– Thanks to interference from Ethan Page and Dan Lambert, Scorpio Sky was able to defeat Frankie Kazarian and retain the TNT Championship. When confronted after the match by Kazarian, Sky dropped his former tag partner with a title shot to the head.

WWE SmackDown

– RK-Bro opened the show by issuing a challenge to The Usos for a Tag Team Championship Unification bout. Sami Zayn, however, came out instead of The Bloodline and told Riddle and Randy Orton to go back to Raw and never come back. Adam Pearce then booked a match between Zayn and Riddle, which the Tag Team Champion won.

Ronda Rousey issued an open challenge for her SmackDown Women’s Championship and it was answered by Raquel Rodriguez. Despite her best effort, Raquel was unable to topple Rousey who successfully retains her title for the first time.

– During an in-ring interview, Madcap Moss was attacked by Happy Corbin who used a chair and the Andre The Giant Memorial Trophy to send his former friend to the hospital on a stretcher.

Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Natalya and Shayna Baszler to successfully retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

– After a talk with Ricochet, Drew Gulak declared that the next time he saw Gunther he would stand up for himself. Well, Gunther was waiting around the corner and as Pat McAfee put it, proceeded to “slap the soul out of Drew Gulak’s body.”

– Butch was able to pick up a victory tonight, pinning Kofi Kingston in singles competition.

– In the main event segment, The Usos and RK-Bro agreed to have a Tag Team Championship Unification Match next Friday on SmackDown. The show ended with Riddle kneeing Roman Reigns in the face and RK-Bro celebrating their way to the back.
