Ronda Rousey: I’ve Accepted That My Accomplishments Will Only Be Appreciated After I’m Dead
Ronda Rousey shared her thoughts prior to WrestleMania 35.
The main event of this year’s WrestleMania saw women headline for the first time in the 35-year history of the event. Becky Lynch overcame Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win both the RAW and SmackDown Live Women’s Championships. The former RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey took the pin-fall in the match which came with controversy due to her shoulders not being on the mat for a brief portion of the count and to add, Ronda Rousey severely injured her hand during the match.
Ronda Rousey uploaded a new edition of ‘Ronda On The Road’ to her YouTube channel which documents her time leading up to WrestleMania, during the show and after the show. While on the way to the venue, the UFC Hall Of Famer shared that she has come to accept the fact that all of her accomplishments will only be appreciated after her time on earth is up.
“I’ve come to accept the fact that my accomplishments will only appreciated after I’m like, dead.” Ronda smiled. “And even then, probably not but, you know…”
Following the main event match, Ronda went to go hug her mother at ringside and told her mom that she thought she broke a knuckle. Ronda was examined backstage and was then met with hugs from the likes of Triple H and Paul Heyman.
