Roman Reigns Names His Top Five Super Bowl Contenders, Paul Heyman Says Football Is Predetermined

Roman Reigns picks his top five Super Bowl contenders.

‘The Tribal Chief’ appeared on the August 1 episode of First Take on ESPN to promote SummerSlam and his Tribal Combat match against Jey Uso.

After chatting about SummerSlam, Reigns joined Stephen A. Smith for a A-List segment in which he named his top five Super Bowl contenders. Reigns went on to name the Buffalo Bills, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the San Francisco 49ers as the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFL. Reigns is an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, hence their placement at the top of the list.

The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 57 back in February, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. The San Francisco 49ers last made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, where they also lost to the Chiefs.

When asked to participate in the conversation about the NFL, Paul Heyman noted that he was here to promote SummerSlam and Reigns’ match at the event. Heyman then went on to argue with ESPN’s Marcus Spears, noting that Spears had never won a Super Bowl. Heyman also joked about football being predetermined, a criticism that is often used against the sport of professional wrestling.

As previously mentioned, Reigns is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Jey Uso at SummerSlam. Fans can see the updated lineup for the show by clicking here.
