Roman Reigns: Becky Lynch Busted Her Ass To Main Event WWE WrestleMania
Roman Reigns praises Becky Lynch.
Earlier this month, WWE announced that Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns would share the cover of WWE 2K20. Lynch’s addition to the cover marks the first time a female WWE superstar has been on the cover of a WWE 2K game.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Reigns discussed sharing the cover with the Raw Women’s Champion.
“To share this with Becky makes it even more special,” said Reigns. “To be able to share this past year with her, breaking barriers, I’m pretty proud of that.”
Lynch has been making plenty of history this year as she became the first woman to win in the main event of WrestleMania when she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win both Women’s Title at WrestleMania 35.
“I thought Becky was phenomenal,” said Reigns. “But that goes a lot deeper than just her main event with Ronda and Charlotte. I’m talking about her whole career. She busted her ass to get to that position. Trying new stuff, evolving, troubleshooting, so to see that type of dedication organically and then to see it organically work out was a total Cinderella story. Becky has created this larger-than-life character, and that’s pretty motivating for me as a young father trying to help my young daughter to become a strong woman.”
Reigns knows all about headlining WrestleMania as he headlined the past four iterations prior to this year. Though he didn’t main event WrestleMania 35, that night marked his first singles match since defeating leukemia.
