ROH Wrestling Television Results for 3/20/20 Episode #444 ROH World Tag Team Title Match

The Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships are on the line on this week’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling television!

-We open the show with a graphic for tonight’s ROH World Tag Team championship match before we go to a tag match between Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb and The Briscoes.

Dan Maff & Jeff Cobb vs The Briscoes

Mark and Jeff kick things off by locking up before Mark grounds Jeff with a side headlock before Jeff sends Mark into the ropes and dropkicks him before tagging in Dan who headbutts the arm of Mark. Mark comes back with a forearm before Jay comes in and gets in Dan’s face before they exchange words and chops in the center of the ring until Dan drops Jay with a headbutt and drags him to the corner. Jeff comes back in and hits a running clothesline in the corner before Jay rakes his eyes and locks in a front headlock while tagging Mark back in who headbutts Jeff. Mark rocks himself when headbutting Jeff several times who seems to barely be phased by it before Jay gets the blind tag and clotheslines Jeff before they knock Dan off of the apron and down onto the floor as we go to commercial.

We return to The Briscoes in control until Jeff gets the tag to Dan who hits a running splash in the corner into a high angle back drop and drops Jay with chops and a clothesline into two running sentons for two. Dan stomps Jay and drags him to the corner before Jeff comes in and Dan holds Jay as Jeff elbows Jay in the spine before Jeff drops Jay with a back elbow for two and follows up with a delayed powerslam for two. Jeff hits a standing moonsault for two and Jay comes back with a dropkick before Mark comes in and they meet in the middle and exchange forearms until Jeff whips Mark into the corner and Mark hits a rolling kick that knocks Dan off of the apron. Mark hits an iconiclast into a wrecking ball dropkick before Dan catches him when he goes for a diving ax handle off of the apron before Jay takes him out and tosses a chair to Mark back in the ring before The Briscoes hit topes with the chair. Back in the ring The Briscoes double up on Jeff for two before Dan stops them from hitting a doomsday device and nearly knocks Mark out of the ring with a shoulder tackle. Jeff and Dan hit running moves in the corner to Jay before Jeff hits a side winder suplex into a running senton by Dan for a near fall. Dan hits Jay with a cheeky nandos before Mark stops him from hitting Jay with a burning hammer and The Briscoes hit a split leg dropkick into a dragon suplex and Jeff comes back in and turns Mark inside out. All four men exchange strikes until Mark is sent out of the ring and Jeff and Dan hit a pop-up cutter for a near fall that Mark breaks up before sending Mark back out of the ring and Jay counters A Tour of the Islands before knocking Dan off of the apron. Jay then superkicks Jeff before hitting Jeff with the Jay Driller, Mark following up with the Froggy-Bow for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Briscoes defeat Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff via pinfall.

Alex Shelley vs Rey Horus

They exchange wrist locks and hammer locks before running the ropes and exchanging pin attempts before hopping back up to their feet and locking up before Alex puts Rey in a standing side headlock. They run into each other before Rey hits a deep arm drag and goes for a crucifix before they mirror a dropkick and Rey dropkicks Alex out of the ring before hitting a baseball slide and Alex hits an arm drag off of the post. Alex hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker at ringside before breaking up the count and chopping Rey at ringside before Rey comes back with strikes and Alex sends him into the railing. Alex tosses Rey back into the ring and hits a diving cross body, but Rey rolls through for two before Alex drops Rey with a spinning forearm as we go to commercial.

We return from the break to Alex in control of Rey before they exchange chops and Alex locks in a pendulum stretch before transitioning into a kneebar, Rey chopping Alex across the chest until he breaks the hold. They exchange open hand palm strikes until Alex turns Rey inside out with a lariat before Rey catches him in mid-air with a missile dropkick and they run the ropes until they exchange basement dropkicks. Rey hits a springboard arm drag that sends Alex out of the ring before dropkicking Alex off of the apron and hitting a flipping senton to the outside before dropping Alex with a chop and sending him into the railing. Rey tosses Alex back into the ring and rocks Alex with a discus forearm before hitting a running Spanish fly for a near fall, Rey following up with a discus punch before Alex drops him with an enzuigiri. Rey hits an over head belly to belly in the corner before Alex hits a standing shiranui for a near fall before following up with a flatliner for another near fall and following up with the Border City Stretch for the tap and the win.

Winner: Alex Shelley defeats Rey Horus via submission.

– We come back from the break to Quinn talking about the 18th Anniversary show as well as tonight’s main event between we get a run down of the card for Supercard of Honor. We then go to the ring for our main event.

ROH World Tag Team championship Match

Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham (c) vs 2 Guys 1 Tag

Before Silas and Josh can even get into the ring Jay and Jon attack them from behind and Jay hits Silas with the belt in the leg before Jay hits several suicide dives and Josh suplexes him onto the floor. Silas and Jon are in the ring as the match officially starts before Jon immediately focuses on the injured leg and knee of Silas, Jay and Jon keeping Silas grounded and away from Josh for several minutes. Silas sends Jay out of the ring and gets the tag to Josh who suplexes the champions and hits running knees in opposite corners into a suplex to Jon that Jay breaks up before Josh catches Jon in mid-air with a jumping knee. Jay counters a suplex by Josh before Jon grabs his foot from ringside before Jay hits the Lethal Combination and 2G1T double up on Jon for a deep two count that Jay breaks up, Jay getting sent out of the ring before Josh powerbombs Jon onto the knees of Silas for a near fall that Jay breaks up. Jay is then sent back out of the ring before Jon hits a split legged missile dropkick as we go to commercial.

J&J hit an assisted powerbomb before Jay locks in a figure four and Jon stops Josh from breaking up the hold before Josh powerbombs Jon onto Jay to break the hold before Silas taps. Josh and Jon exchange forearms in the center of the ring until Silas gets the blind tag and Jon counters a pop-up roundhouse kick, but Silas drops him anyway before Silas takes out Jay at ringside. Josh hits a powerbomb into an ankle lock before Josh hits a bridging German suplex for a near fall that Jay breaks up and Jon hits a springboard moonsault before Jay hits Silas with the Lethal Injection. Jay hits a suicide dive before Jon hits a shooting star press for a near fall before Silas pins Jay with an inside cradle, but the referee doesn’t see it before Jay reverses into one of his own for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham retain their ROH World Tag Team titles by defeating 2 Guys 1 Tag via pinfall.
