Roderick Strong Says His Confidence On The Microphone In AEW Is At A 10

Roderick Strong talks his confidence on the mic.

Roderick Strong has always been known as a great wrestler between the ropes but in recent times, he has flexed more of his verbal and performance skills as a performer in AEW.

Speaking in an interview with Rock95, Strong said his confidence is at a 10 out of 10 when he has to be on the microphone. That, he says, is something that he wouldn’t have been able to say years prior.

“[My confidence level is at] a 10. It helps working around a bunch of people that feel the same way as you, are as passionate as you, and want to make things as good as it possibly can be. Not saying that other people don’t, but from my personal experience, surrounding myself with the right people, which I did, really opened that. We all feed off of each other and help create different ideas for each other,” said Strong. “So, it’s one of those things that now, it’s crazy to think about. Ten years ago, I would have been like, ‘Oh, my God, no, no, no, no, no, I need more time to prep for this, that. I’m unsure.’ Now, it doesn’t matter the situation I’m in, I feel like I can make the most of it.”

Strong recently captured the AEW International Title from Orange Cassidy at AEW Revolution.

Strong recently opened up about the gimmick with his neck brace and what that experience was like. Learn more here
