Roderick Strong Hasn’t Killed The Heat Between His Son And Malcolm Bivens Yet

Diamond Mine may already have trouble in paradise.

Okay, not really, but that was a good lede. In 2019, on an all day WWE Network presentation, a series of skits aired to provide original content to the channel featuring Malcolm Bivens. They culminated in the now-leader of Diamond Mine to be appraoched and attacked by the son of Roderick Strong, Troy.

A year and a half later, it doens’t appear as if any of the heat has died down between Bivens and “TroyBoy.”

“Honestly, I haven’t really addressed it yet with Troy,” Roderick Strong tells Fightful. “His emotions are very high, but I got him a sweet rash guard too, just to settle him down. Soon, we’re gonna have to get them in the same room and let them figure it out. Troy just naturally does that to people. Test of strength was his big thing for the longest time. Web shooters and knuckle locks, he wants to see what you’re all about.”

All jokes aside, Strong said that the skit was something that Bivens pitched to Strong’s wife, Marina Shafir. The couple was happy to make it happen.

“It was something Bivens brought up to my wife because they had played around and Troy was always doing that to him. It was really funny and I was so proud of him. I can’t imagine when we do stuff down the road with him because he’s such a character now, even more so than he was back then,” Strong said.

Strong appeared on this week’s episode of NXT with Diamond Mine, as he defeated his former partner in Undisputed Era, Bobby Fish.
