The Rock Unveils Custom ZOA Energy Xbox Series X Kit
Power Your Dreams with ZOA Energy.
In January 2001, Dwayne Johnson joined Bill Gates on stage to unveil Microsoft’s new gaming system, the Xbox. The most powerful console of its generation performed admirably, outselling the Nintendo GameCube and Sega Dreamcast, but fell considerably short of the PlayStation 2.
Twenty years later, The Rock is collaborating with Xbox again, this time in association with his latest venture, ZOA Energy Drinks. Johnson shared the following:
The custom kit will be delivered to only 100 gamers, influencers, and creators. Those lucky enough to receive the package will find a supply of ZAO Energy, a Series XS controller with the warrior face imprinted on it, coasters, an Xbox-shaped mini-fridge, and a pair of sunglasses identical to the ones worn by Rock all those years ago.
Johnson was sure to reiterate a few times that these items will not be available for purchase.
Microsoft ran a similar campaign prior to the launch of the Series X, delivering a full-sized refrigerator modelled after their new console to a few personalities, most notably Snoop Dogg.
