The Rock Talks Dissing Vin Diesel
The Rock has no regrets about publicly dissing Vin Diesel via social media earlier this year.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson discussed the grudge with his "Fast and the Furious" series co-star during a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times to promote the new Disney animated release, "Moana".
“I was very clear with what I said. I’ve been in the game a long time,” The Rock told the L.A. Times. “Would Universal [Pictures] have preferred that didn’t happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level.”
In August, The Rock made an Instagram post referring to one of his male co-stars, later reported to be Diesel, as "candy ass".
“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” he wrote. “When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”
It's been a big year for The Rock. Earlier this month, People Magazine named him the "Sexiest Man Alive" and this summer, he was declared the highest-paid actor on the planet in the annual review of salaries by Forbes.
The Rock continues to make occasional appearances on WWE programming, doing so most recently at WrestleMania 32, where he and John Cena teamed up in a brawl against the Wyatt Family after Rock defeated Erick Rowan in an impromptu match.
