Road Dogg Says Adam Cole Would Already Be WWE Universal Champion If He Was The Size Of Karrion Kross
Road Dogg calls Adam Cole a dream performer but notes that his size can be a hindrance.
Adam Cole is the longest-reigning WWE NXT Champion in history, recently surpassing the one-year mark as champion. Adam is a trusted name in the NXT locker room with those in charge of the black and gold brand often praising the work ethic of the “Panama City Playboy.”
On a recent episode of the WWE after the Bell podcast, Road Dogg, who is a producer at NXT offered very high praise for Adam Cole saying that he would be on top of the main roster if only he had the stature of another up-and-coming star in NXT, Karrion Kross.
The former Killer Kross was touted as somebody who has the potential to be “a main player,” by the NXT producer. As for Adam Cole, he was highlighted as the total package.
“Adam Cole is the most professional, most talented [Superstar]. He gets it,” said Road Dogg. “He gets every aspect of it, but he’s also a great worker. He has great psychology. Man, if he was Karrion Kross’ size, he would be the Universal Champion right now and if he wasn’t, I’d be wondering why, that’s the kind of guy he is. That’s the kind of human he is. That’s the kind of talent he is. Incredible. So he’s probably my favorite guy. But from a guy who is now on this side of the fence having to work with that guy, he gives you everything you could ask for and more and you don’t even really have to ask for it. Do you know what I mean? It’s just like a dream. You know, it’s a dream. Dream Superstar.”
Adam Cole may be a “dream” Superstar for WWE staff, but at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, he will defend his NXT Championship for the last time against Velveteen Dream, in NXT’s first-ever Backlot Brawl.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT TakeOver: In Your House on Sunday, June 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
