Road Dogg Among Multiple Performance Center Staff Released By WWE, SVP Released

Changes continue to come at NXT 2.0. 

WWE issued Fightful the following statement, announcing “some staff” in the WWE Performance Center have been released “with the continued evolution of NXT 2.0”

Producers, writers, and coaches are among the names being released. 

From WWE: 

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”

Fightful has learned that Brian James, better known as Road Dogg, is among the released staff.

Road Dogg had been working as a producer in WWE since 2014, most notably helping at the WWE Performance Center and with NXT.  

Road Dogg posted the following statement on his Facebook regarding his WWE release:

Guys, I’m doing well and I thank you for all the love. I’m gonna take a few days for my self and process this. God is still on the throne and will provide. It’s just business!

Allison Danger, George Carroll, Scott Armstrong, Ace Steel, Dave Kapoor (Ranjin Singh) and Ryan Katz are also among the released names.

Armstrong, who has worked as a producer and referee, was originally furloughed in April 2020 but eventually brought back. 

Ace Steel signed as a coach in November 2019, furloughed in April 2020, and returned in October 2020.

Kapoor worked as a writer on the brand and Katz, hired in June 2013, was the associate producer of NXT. 

Carroll was hired in 2020 as a producer and writer. 

Danger (Cathy Corino) was hired as a coach in October 2021.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Sarah Cummins, Senior VP of Consumer Products has also been released. 

Fightful will continue to update fans on more names released as they are known.
