Ring of Honor & New Japan Pro Wrestling Presents G1 Supercard Results

Ring of Honor Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling come together for the biggest show of the year at 7:30 EST with a pre-show at 6:30pm EST!

Hey Fight Fans, we hope your Wrestlemania Week has been a blast and will continue to enjoy the action with a stacked show from Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling!

Pre-Show

Honor Rumble Match

Kenny King and Minoru Suzuki come out to the ring first and Suzuki drops Kenny with a forearm before Cheeseburger comes in third and makes the mistake of chopping Minoru who nearly knocks him out. Beer City Bruiser comes out next, taking his time getting to the ring before he hits everybody with a jab and bites Minoru and Cheeseburger. Suzuki stomps BCB in the corner as SHO makes his way down to the ring. BCB backs SHO into the corner when he goes for a German suplex before Shingo Takagi and BUSHI come out next. YOH comes out and evens up the odds for R3K before BCB is eliminated and Shaheem Ali from Coast to Coast comes out number nine.

Rhett Titus comes out in the tenth spot and ignores everyone, opting to pose for the crowd until Kenny drops him with a capo kick. LSG comes out eleventh to help his partner Ali before Ryusuke Taguchi and Will Ferrara come out to revive The Dawgs with Rhett. The first BULLET CLUB member comes out to the ring in the form of Chase Owens before the leader of R3K, Rocky Romero comes out. Rocky hits his endless clotheslines until everyone hits a move to BUSHI in the corner before BUSHI is eliminated by Rocky. Brian Milonas is out next as both members of Coast to Coast are eliminated and Bad Luck Fale comes out.

Fale takes out the entirety of Shinobi Shadow Squad before he brawls with Brian and Rhett is eliminated next. Minoru eliminates Shingo as Tracy Williams comes in and exchanges forearms with Suzuki before YOSHI-HASHI enters the match as Ryusuke gets eliminated. PJ Black is number twenty one and Jushin Thunder Liger enters at twenty two. Liger eliminates Brian by himself and TK O’Ryan of The Kingdom comes out and nearly eliminates PJ before Vinny Marseglia comes out next.The Kingdom eliminate Tracy and Delirious comes out number twenty five, Tomohiro Ishii out next, Minoru beckoning him to the ring before Ishii eliminates PJ with a headbutt and Toru Yano comes out twenty seventh, but instead joins commentary and has Colt come in instead.

Colt runs in and drops several opponents with a bionic elbow before Hirooki Goto comes out next. King Haku comes out as Minoru beats on Goto and Haku applies the Tongan Death Grip to Colt before Yano saves him and The Great Muta comes out as number thirty. Muta eliminates Delirious before Minoru eliminates Yano and Colt before Ishii and Suzuki exchange forearms until Ishii puts Minoru over the top rope and Suzuki locks in an armbar in the ropes before Ishii eliminates him. The Kingdom eliminate Cheeseburger before they focus on Haku and eliminate him next, Ishii quickly eliminated before we’re down to the final four of Vinny, TK, Liger and Muta. Muta and Liger then eliminate The Kingdom before Liger hits a shotei and Muta a dragon screw into a corkscrew diving elbow before Kenny King comes in and eliminates the both of them, having not actually been eliminated earlier.

Winner: Kenny King wins the Honor Rumble by being the last person in the ring.

-After the match Liger hits him with a shotei before Muta mists him and Kenny quickly flees to the back.

Main Show

-We open the show with a video package for the show where all of the talent talk about finally performing at Madison Square Garden.

Winner Take All Title Versus Title Match

Will Ospreay (c) vs Jeff Cobb (c)

Jeff rushes Will with a European uppercut before sending Will out of the ring and chopping him at ringside before sending him into the crowd. ​​​​​​Will comes back and hits a Sasuke special to the outside before hitting a DDT onto the floor and rolls Jeff back into the ring. Jeff catches Will when he goes for a springboard move before Jeff catches the Aerial Assassin on the top turnbuckle and hits a delayed superplex for a quick two count. Jeff tosses Will across the ring and drops him with a back elbow for a two count before Will gets to his feet and goes for a huricanrrana, but Jeff stops him and locks in a bear hug. Will gets free and hits a hand spring roundhouse kick before he goes for the Storm Breaker, but Cobb muscles his way out before sending Will across the ring with a fall away slam. Jeff hits a flying European uppercut into a Samoan drop and a standing moonsault for a near fall before they exchange kicks and Will hits a Spanish fly when Jeff goes for a lariat. Will hits a missile dropkick to the back of the head of Jeff before countering A Tour of the Islands into a code red. Will hits a roundhouse kick before Jeff turns him inside out with a lariat and misses a frog splash before Will hits a Robinson special and an OsCutter for a near fall. Will hits a hoop kick before Jeff counters the Storm Breaker again, but Will hits a cheeky nandos and Jeff hits a super Tour of the Islands before finishing with the regular one for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jeff Cobb retains his ROH World Television Championship and becomes the new NEVER Openweight champion when he defeats Will Ospreay via pinfall with a Tour of the Islands.

Dalton Castle vs Rush

Rush immediately hits Dalton with two shotgun dropkicks and one in the corner for the pin and the win.

Winner: Rush defeats Dalton Castle via pinfall with a running shotgun dropkick in the corner.

-Dalton turns on The Boys after the match and takes them out before leaving as we go to a commercial for the G1 Climax tournament which starts in Texas on July 6th.

-We cut to Juice Robinson laid out in the locker room backstage with a chair on top of him.

WOH World Championship Match

Mayu Iwatani (c) vs Kelly Klein

They shake hands before the match and exchange wrist locks before Mayu takes Kelly down with a headlock, but she pops back up with a head scissor. Kelly kicks the knee of Mayu and starts focusing on it before putting her in a stretch and hitting a Samoan drop before Mayu locks in a rear naked choke. Kelly gets to her feet and breaks the hold before she catches Mayu going for a diving cross body and hits a fall away slam. Mayu comes back with kicks that send Kelly out of the ring before hitting a diving cross body to the outside. Mayu rolls back into the ring and they exchange forearms until Kelly drops Mayu with a punch to the chest. Kelly drops Mayu with a forearm and counters a huricanrrana before Mayu hits a reverse huricanrrana for a near fall. Kelly hits a release German suplex and a lariat before Mayu comes back with kicks and a bridging dragon suplex, Kelly’s legs landing on the ropes for the break. Kelly then turns Mayu inside out with a lariat for a near fall before powerbombing her for another near fall. Kelly then hits a DVD and K-Power for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kelly Klein defeats Mayu Iwatani via pinfall with K-Power to become the new WOH World champion.

-After the match IMPACT Wrestling alum The Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky come out to the ring and mock Kelly before Mandy Leon attacks her from behind and Angelina drops her with a kick before Mandy and The Beautiful People take out anyone who comes to her aid. The Beautiful People then write on Kelly and take a picture before it’s revealed that they’re now known as The Allure when they go up the ramp as we go to commercial.

-Rapper MegaRan performs for the crowd before our next match before Bully Ray comes out and attacks him with his chain before Flip Gordon comes out to the ring and answers his open challenge.

Three on Three New York City Street Fight Match

Lifeblood (Juice Robinson & Mark Haskins) & Flip Gordon vs Bully Ray, Shane Taylor & Silas Young

Flip hits a superkick into a springboard spear before Bully catches him in midair with a cutter. Bully puts a kendo stick and a table in the ring before Silas Young and Shane Taylor run in and attack Flip. Juice and Mark Haskins come to save Flip while pushing a huge cart of weapons before making it a three on three match. Juice takes out Bully with right hands before Silas hits him with a chair and hits a moonsault onto Flip onto the chair. Mark takes out Silas before Shane turns him inside out with a clothesline and Flip sends him out of the ring.

Bully hits everyone with a kendo stick at ringside before Silas, Shane and Bully hit Flip with three kendo sticks. Everyone grabs a kendo stick and duel until Lifeblood and Flip take out Silas and Shane. Bully leaves before Juice drags him right back to the ring and Bully low blows Juice before Flip hits him with a stick and Shane lays him out with a trash can. Bully puts Flip through a table before Silas hits a twisting neckbreaker to Mark onto a chair and Mark hits a stomp onto Silas onto two chairs. Shane hits Mark with a 216 before he puts a wooden pallet in the ring and Juice hits a cannonball into Shane into the pallet in the corner.

Lifeblood and Flip then take turns doing moves to Bully before Mark hits a diving headbutt to the groin and Flip finishes with a 450 for the pin and the win.

Winner: Flip Gordon and Lifeblood defeat Bully Ray, Silas Young and Shane Taylor when Flip pins Bully with a 450.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match

Taiji Ishimori (c) vs Bandido vs Dragon Lee

Bandido clears the ring and hits a tope to the outside before Lee takes out Bandido and Taiji hits a triangle moonsault. Taiji gets a two count once they’re back in the ring before Lee hits a running dropkick in the corner into a double underhook backbreaker. Bandido rocks Lee with a high knee before turning him inside out with a lariat before Taiji turns Bandido inside out with a hand spring roundhouse kick. Lee hits a sit-out powerbomb to Taiji for a two count before hitting a Dragon destroyer and Bandido hits Taiji with a pop-up cutter for a near fall. Taiji counter a huricanrrana for a near fall before hitting the Bloody Cross for a near fall before Bandido sets Taiji on the top turnbuckle and Bandido hits a double fall away slam off of the top to Taiji and Lee for a near fall.

Lee then sends Taiji out of the ring before hitting Bandido with Dragon Driver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dragon Lee defeats Bandido and Taiji Ishimori to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion when he pins Bandido with a Dragon Driver.

-Bandido puts the belt on Lee as a show of respect after the match.

Winner Take All Tag Team Title Versus Title Fatal Four Way Match

Villain Enterprises (Brody King & PCO) (c) vs Guerrillas of Destiny (c) w/Jado vs Los Ingobernables de Japon (SANADA & EVIL) vs The Briscoes

VE clear the ring before they get in with GOD, but The Briscoes drag them out and LIJ come in, SANADA locking in a paradise lock before dropkicking Tonga. Loa sends EVIL out of the ring with an enzuigiri before GOD run over SANADA and Brody takes out The Briscoes with a running cross body. Loa and Brody go back and forth until Brody hits a boot into a cannonball in the ropes before he sends him out of the ring and hits a flipping senton to the outside. Mark hits a diving clothesline and The Briscoes double team Tonga for a two count before Mark hits a blockbuster off of the apron. Tonga dropkicks Jay out of the ring before SANADA sends him over the top rope and EVIL hits Tonga with a chair.

The Briscoes stop the magical Killer and Jay hits a Jay Driller before Mark hits a Froggy-Bow for a near fall that Brody breaks up. PCO hits a senton onto the apron before Brody hits a Gonzo bomb and PCO a diving headbutt for a near fall that GOD break up. GOD powerbomb PCO over the top rope out of the ring and down onto the floor before he instantly sits up, but falls back down right after. Jado hits Brody with a kendo stick from ringside before Tonga hits a Gun Stun and GOD hit a super powerbomb for the pin and the win.

Winner: Guerrillas of Destiny defeat Villain Enterprises, Los Ingobernables de Japon and The Briscoes when they pin Brody with a super powerbomb to become the new ROH World Tag Team champions.

British Heavyweight Championship Match

Zack Sabre Jr. (c) w/Taka Michinoku vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

ZSJ tries to take Tana down, but he gets back to his feet with ease before they exchange wrist locks and ZSJ rocks Tana with European uppercuts. Tana hits a diving cross body and a scoop slam before ZSJ catches him in a cross arm breaker and transitions into a variety of submissions. ZSJ stomps Tana and bends his fingers and wrist before kicking him in the chest as Tana makes his way to his feet. ZSJ locks in an armbar in the ropes and Tana comes back with a dropkick to the knee before hitting a running dropkick and a scoop slam into a flipping senton from the second rope for a two count. ZSJ locks in a cobra twist before Tana reverses it into one of his own and they go back and forth with it until Tana hits a pump handle slam.

ZSJ locks in a head scissor in the ropes before Tana hits a dragon screw in the ropes and locks in a lion tamer before ZSJ gets to the ropes for the break. Tana hits a bulldog sling blade before ZSJ hits him with an enzuigiri before locking in a kimura and snapping his arm in the ropes. ZSJ gets a near fall off of a sphinx pin before hitting a PK for another near fall and they counter each other until Tana hits an inverted dragon screw and ZSJ gets a near fall off of a bridging pin. Tana then hits several twist and shouts before hitting a sling blade for a near fall before Tana verbally taps to Yes, I’m a Long Way from Home for the win.

Winner: Zack Sabre Jr. retains his British Heavyweight Championship by defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi via submission with Yes, I’m a Long Way from Home.

IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match

Tetsuya Naito (c) vs Kota Ibushi

Naito takes his time to get ready before he capitalizes on the aggression of Kota and attacks him. Naito sends Kota out of the ring and into the barricade before sending him into the front row and Kota gets back in at the count of twelve. Naito hits a sweeping dropkick in the corner before Kota comes back with a dropkick and a kick into a standing moonsault for a two count. Naito hits a low dropkick and Kota a Pele kick before Kota hits a dead lift German suplex from the apron for a near fall and a huricanrrana from the apron down onto the floor. Back in the ring Naito hits a tornado DDT and a frankensteiner into a side suplex for a two count before comes back with a clothesline.

Kota hits another dead lift German into a bridging dragon suplex for a near fall before Naito hits a reverse huricanrrana and Gloria for a near fall. They then go back and forth until Kota hits a Kinshasa and finishes with a Last Ride Powerbomb into the Kamigoye for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kota Ibushi defeats Tetsuya Naito via pinfall with a Kamigoye to become the new IWGP World Intercontinental champion.

ROH World Championship Triple Threat Ladder Match

Jay Lethal (c) vs Marty Scurll vs Matt Taven

Jay and Matt go at it as Marty gets out of the ring, Jay dropkicking a ladder when Marty tries to bring it into the ring and Matt hits a tope to the outside. Jay sets a ladder up on two chairs and hits Matt with a tornado DDT into the floor before putting a ladder in the ring and sending Matt into it and another ladder. Jay drops Marty onto a ladder and hits a snap suplex before dropping the ladder on him. Jay drops another ladder on the back of Matt at ringside before wedging one of them in the corner and chopping Marty before Marty sends him into the ladder face first. Marty puts Jay in the tree of woe with his head in a rung of the ladder and hitting it with a chair.

Marty grabs another ladder and sets it up in the center of the ring before he goes to use his umbrella to get the belt, but Matt superkicks him and climbs the ladder himself. Jay sends Matt into the ladder and Marty chops him in the ropes before taking out the knee of Jay and Matt drags him out of the ring and sends him into the barricade. Matt drives his knee into Jay with a ladder around his neck before Marty clotheslines him out of the ring and hits a superkick from the apron. Marty skins the cat and climbs the ladder before Jay traps his leg and locks in a figure four in the ladder as Matt climbs the ladder and Jay breaks the hold to send Matt out of the ring. Marty boots Jay out of the ring before Jay hits a cutter on the apron and Matt hits an enzuigiri before powerbombing Jay onto the ladder lying on the chairs on the ramp.

Marty sets a ladder up and tries to climb on one foot before he opts to chop Matt and set the ladder up in the corner. Marty hits a drop toe hold into a 619 and Matt hits a snap DDT when Marty calls for the Cross Face Chicken Wing. Matt hits a rolling neckbreaker onto the ladder and Marty hits a superplex off of the ladder in the corner before Jay gets back into the ring and Marty hits him with his umbrella. Marty counters a Lethal Injection before Jay counters a Chicken Wing by sending Marty back into a ladder in the corner. Jay sets a ladder in the center of the ring and starts to climb it before he and Matt exchange strikes on the ladder until Jay knocks him off and down into the mat.

Marty comes up behind Jay and locks in a chicken wing on the ladder before Matt climbs the opposite side and Marty snaps his fingers on both hands. Matt falls down when he can’t climb the ladder after kicking Marty from it and Jay hits a Lethal Combination into the ladder. Jay makes an x with the ladders in the corner before Marty sends him out of the ring and suplexes Matt onto the x of ladders. Jay rushes back in and hits the Lethal Injection before he opts to toss the x out of the ring and it hits someone in the front row. Jay brings another ladder into the ring and grabs a table before Marty superkicks him and hits a brainbuster onto the floor.

Marty sets the table up at ringside and Matt puts Marty through the table with a spear through the ropes. Jay sets up another table and lies Matt on it before setting up the biggest ladder yet at ringside and hits a diving elbow drop onto Matt through the table. Marty gets back into the ring and sets a ladder up before Jay crawls back in and they climb opposite sides of the ladder. Matt brings a big, purple ladder into the ring while Jay and Marty brawl on the other ladder before Marty hits both of them with the shorter ladder. Marty wedges the shorter ladder into the purple one from one side before Jay does the same from the other and Matt hits Jay in the back with a chair and sends Marty off of the ladder.

Matt then hits Jay with the belt while it’s hanging and knocks him off of the top and onto the ladder in the ropes before grabbing it for the win.

Winner: Matt Taven defeats Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll when he grabs the belt above the ring to become the new ROH World champion and a grand slam champion.

IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match

Jay White (c) vs Kazuchika Okada

Jay rolls out of the ring several times once the bell rings before they lock up and Okada backs Jay into the ropes for a clean break. Okada drops Jay with a shoulder tackle and gets distracted by Gedo, Jay taking Okada down with a headlock takeover before Okada gets to his feet and Jay takes him right back down. Okada comes back with forearms and a boot before hitting a neckbreaker for a one count, Okada following up with a snapmare before Jay rolls out of the ring to avoid a dropkick. Okada goes out after Jay and sends him into the railing and boots him into the front row before Jay sends him into the ring post and the barricade. Okada gets back into the ring and Jay stomps him, sending him throat first into the bottom rope for a quick two count. Jay suplexes Okada and hits a high angle back drop driver for a two count before playing to the crowd and hitting a DDT. Jay grapevines the legs of Okada and locks in a Muta lock before Okada gets to the ropes for the break and hits a flap jack before hopping up and dropping Jay with back elbows. Okada hits a running back elbow in the corner into a DDT for a two count before hitting a scoop slam and a dropkick from the top that sends Jay from the top turnbuckle and down onto the floor. Okada sends Jay into the railing and boots him into the front row before doing the same to Gedo. Okada hits a running cross body and takes out both Jay and Gedo in the crowd before they get back in the ring and Jay counters a reverse neckbreaker into a Saito suplex. Jay hits a running European uppercut in the corner and a twisting neckbreaker for a near fall before Okada hits a uranage and a reverse neckbreaker. Jay collapses into the corner when Okada runs the ropes before Okada chops him in the corner and Jay counters a move and flees to the corner before Okada hits a shotgun dropkick. Okada hits a missile dropkick for a near fall and a scoop slam into a diving elbow drop before doing his RAINMAKER pose. Jay sits down when Okada goes for a RAINMAKER before Okada kicks and hits him with forearms before he collapses onto the mat. Jay comes back with a flat liner into a German suplex, Okada countering the Blade Runner before Jay suplexes him into the corner and hits a uranage for a near fall. Jay hits a snap Saito suplex on the apron and a Kiwi Crusher for a near fall before Okada comes back with a tombstone piledriver. They exchange strikes until Okada misses a dropkick and Jay chops him before Okada hits his signature high angle dropkick. Okada knocks Gedo from the apron and hits another dropkick before Jay counters the RAINMAKER into a snap sleeper suplex. They counter each other until Okada dropkicks the back of the head of Jay and hits a spinning RAINMAKER and a regular RAINMAKER for a very close near fall. Jay counters a tombstone into a Blade Runner, but collapses immediately after, unable to go for the pin before they exchange forearms on their knees and up to their feet. Okada nearly knocks Jay out with forearms before Gedo gets on the apron and gets ejected as Jay low blows Okada. Okada then counters the Blade Runner into a German suplex and they reverse each other until Okada hits a dropkick. Jay then counters the RAINMAKER once before Okada hits two RAINMAKER lariats and a spinning tombstone piledriver into a third RAINMAKER for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada defeats Jay White via pinfall with a RAINMAKER to become the new IWGP Heavyweight champion.
