Rikishi Encourages Fans To Use Their Voices To Help Get Umaga Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

Rikishi says it’s time for Eki Fatu to be honored.

The Samoan Dynasty has no less than five representatives already in the WWE Hall of Fame and several that have already built up resumes worthy of an induction whenever WWE deems the time to be right.

One of those names is Umaga. Eki Fatu had his most popular WWE run from 2006 to 2009 as the “Samoan Bulldozer.” During his time as Umaga, Fatu wrestled the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, and more.

Recently, Rikishi tweeted that it was time for his brother to be considered for the WWE Hall of Fame, and now, in a new interview on Bullet Cast, Rikishi elaborated on why he feels now is the time and what he thinks fans can do about it.

“That’s my personal opinion. Not only to what I’ve known, as far as what he’s contributed to the business, and also, to our family as well, I feel like it’s time for him. He’s done his part as far as industry and I think, his close friends, of course, the family members, and the fans that were Umaga fans, I believe that they all can agree with me that it’s time for my brother, Eki Fatu, to be able to be considered to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of WWE with some of the all-time greats and legends that are before him. So let’s hope, I mean — you know how it is with the fans. Your voice means a lot. So we all know what it is, you guys get out there, sign some petition, and make some noise, and hopefully WWE, Vince McMahon, the whole crew, and the powers that be hear our voices.”

Umaga tragically passed away on December 4, 2009.
