Ric Flair Didn’t Like Bianca Belair Losing At WWE SummerSlam, Doesn’t Understand What WWE Does

Count Ric Flair among those who weren’t sure what WWE was thinking at SummerSlam.

Becky Lynch made her return to the ring at WWE SummerSlam, quickly defeating Bianca Belair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. While fans were excited to see Becky, many were left questioning the decision to have her dethrone Belair in such quick fashion.

Ric Flair agrees.

“I didn’t like it,” Flair told Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions. “Sometimes, I don’t understand what they do with anybody, Ashley included. I didn’t like it at all. I thought Bianca worked so hard. She’s really a nice person. I like her husband, they seem really close. There are a lot of things that make her unique. I was hoping that someday, I think Bianca and Charlotte could be huge one day. Obviously, the two best athletes in the women’s division. That’s a whole different way of telling a story and building up to the event. Plus, the fact that they can do some stuff that no one else can.”

Flair was unable to attend WWE SummerSlam due to a prior commitment.

Elsewhere during the podcast, Flair discussed his WWE departure and potentially working for AEW. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
