Rhyno’s WWE Contract Expires In July, Says He Loves WWE But May Have To Go Elsewhere

Rhyno wants to continue wrestling into his 50s.

One-half of the first-ever SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions and former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Rhyno was profiled by the ‘Press & Guide’ to further spotlight the Marina he purchased in his home-state of Michigan that he has named “Big Daddy’s Boatyard”. It was noted in the article that Rhyno’s contract with WWE expires in mid-July and there is not a new deal in place. He shared with the publication that he wants to continue wrestling for another eight years and that he loves working for WWE but may have to go elsewhere.

“I love working with WWE,” he said. “They’re great. But I might have go somewhere else. I don’t know yet.”

Rhyno’s WWE.com profile is listed under the alumni section of the site although he has been announced for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35. The last time that Rhyno wrestled for WWE was in February at a live event in Alabama. In December of 2018, then-“Constable” Baron Corbin pitted Rhyno and Heath Slater against one another in a match and the loser would be fired from RAW. Rhyno was on the losing end of that match and once the cameras went off the air, it was rumored that he announced he was retiring but continued working house shows up until February.
