Rhyno “Fired” From WWE Raw After Losing To Heath Slater; Slater Demoted To Referee
Baron Corbin abuses his power.
After crunching some numbers, General Manager Elect Baron Corbin decided that there was no room on Raw for both Heath Slater and Rhyno. As a result, Corbin gave the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions an option: Quit or wrestle for your job. Slater and Rhyno decided on the latter.
There’s only room on #RAW for EITHER @HeathSlaterOMRB or @Rhyno313?!

Later in the night, in a very short contest, Slater managed to defeat his former tag team partner with a neck breaker. The loss sent Rhyno to the unemployment line, but kept food on the table of Heath’s kids. However, he might be bringing home fewer portions after receiving a demotion.
Following the bout, Corbin told Slater that he would not be an active competitor on Raw, and instead would be donning the referee stripes for the foreseeable future.
