Rhea Ripley Wouldn’t Complain If Bianca Belair Got Added To WrestleMania 36 Match Against Charlotte
Rhea Ripley will officially defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36. Flair, who won the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble, made her choice at NXT TakeOver: Portland after Ripley had successfully defeated Bianca Belair to retain her title.
Leading up to the match with Belair, many fans wondered if WWE would make the WrestleMania 36 bout a triple threat with Belair included should there had been a non-clean finish in the bout at NXT TakeOver: Portland. A clean win by Ripley would seem to lessen the chances Belair gets added to the match, but should the match become a triple threat bout at WrestleMania 36, Ripley wouldn’t mind.
“If they add Bianca Belair to it, I honestly don’t mind. I love fighting Bianca, and if she got put into the match, I’d be all for it. I’m not going to argue about it and say that she doesn’t deserve it, because she does deserve it. She deserves her WrestleMania moment and, if she gets added to it, I’m not going to complain,” Ripley told Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda.
As of now, the match is a singles bout with Ripley defending against Flair.
Fightful will have live coverage of NXT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
