Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Damian Priest was set to face Jey Uso on the October 2 episode of WWE Raw. Early in the show, Rhea Ripley made her return and called out her Judgment Day stablemates. Priest and Dominik Mysterio came out, and Ripley noted that Priest could not face Uso because he was not medically cleared.

Ripley also announced that Dominik Mysterio will challenge Trick Williams for the NXT North American Championship on the October 3 episode of WWE NXT. Additionally, Adam Pearce confirmed that Priest and Finn Balor will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at WWE Fastlane.
