Rhea Ripley: I Don’t Know If I Fit On NXT 2.0, But I Would Definitely Go Back In A Heartbeat

Rhea Ripley is open to returning to NXT even if it is not the NXT that she left behind.

Rhea Ripley will forever be tied to NXT. During her time on that brand, she became the only woman to defend the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, she was also the one to dethrone Shayna Baszler, receiving a hero’s ovation when she did so.

Now, NXT has changed and it is known as NXT 2.0. Feeling that she might not fit in on the brand nowadays, Ripley still says that she would gladly go back to NXT especially to lend a helping hand to her friend and former rival, Raquel Gonzalez.

“I would love to, honestly. I miss NXT right now. How it’s all changed, I don’t know if I’d really fit in, but when it was the metal scene and very grungy, I love that NXT,” Ripley tells the Battleground Podcast. “Not saying that the one now is bad or anything, but it’s definitely more for like the up-and-comers and everyone’s there trying to make a name for themselves. But saying that, I would definitely go back in a heartbeat, especially to help my girl, Raquel Gonzalez. I don’t like when she gets jumped. Yeah, I got her back.”

Raquel may need that help as she has become the target of Mandy Rose and Toxic Attraction, Mandy’s new stable with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jane.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE NXT 2.0 every Tuesday.
