Rhea Ripley: Being In The Royal Rumble Match Would Be Such A Meaningful Moment In My Career
Will we see Rhea in the Rumble?
At 12 PM EST, WWE will be announcing competitors for the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match. There are currently fifteen names slated as of this writing and one name that would love to be a part of the Rumble is the first-ever and former NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. The 22-year old “Mosh-pit Kid” lost the NXT UK Women’s Title to Toni Storm at TakeOver: Blackpool and at the recent NXT UK TV tapings, Rhea made sure to let Toni know that their issues are far from resolved.
With getting back the NXT UK Women’s Title on her list of things to do, Rhea also wouldn’t mind entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match and she expressed that while speaking to the ‘The Sun’ and stated that being in the Rumble would be such a meaningful moment in her career.
“I haven’t been here in WWE two years yet. But to jump to that extent to being in the Rumble would be incredible. It would [be] such a meaningful moment in my career. Being in the Rumble means that people are watching you. If you get Vince’s attention, it’s always good.” Rhea shared.
Rhea also discussed the idea of having a Performance Center in her home-country of Australia and during a recent interview Triple H talked about the possibility of having a Performance Center “Down Under” and here’s what Rhea thinks about that:
“The Aussie scene was quiet when I was there but right now it’s absolutely booming.” She said. “They’re getting wrestlers coming down from America to do shows. I’m excited to see where the Australian scene goes, and hopefully they’ll open a Performance Center in Australia. I can see it happening. I would love to see all the superstars down there get what they deserve.”
If Rhea Ripley is announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble match then that will make three Australian representatives in this year’s bout along with Peyton Royce and Billie Kay and to stay up to date with the list of Rumble participants, head over to Fightful’s published article on the topic.
