Rey Mysterio: As A Father, You Always Want To See That Your Child Is In The Right Relationship
The Mysterio family is all about forgiveness and acceptance.
Rey Mysterio finally finished the feud with Seth Rollins on the November 13th, 2020 episode of SmackDown but in the end, it was his daughter’s relationship with Murphy that played the largest role at the end of the saga.
Murphy would turn on his former leader and decide that his feelings for Aalyah Mysterio were more important than his allegiance to his “Messiah.” This would lead to Rey Mysterio accepting Murphy and giving Murphy his blessing to continue to see his daughter.
Murphy then joined the whole Mysterio family on the latest episode of WWE Talking Smack where Rey Mysterio would emphasize the importance of family and the strength of the unit that he has created along with his wife, Angie.
“I walked in there with a lot of mixed emotions, but overall I was thinking about my family and the torture that they had gone through for the past eight months from my wife, to Dominik, [and] finalizing with Aalyah. But as you can see, we’re solid. We’ve been solid from day one. My wife did an incredible job raising our kids and the unity that my wife and I have is very solid, you have no idea, and I think we showed it today.”
Murphy, who will face Rollins on next week’s SmackDown, would say that he is finally happy and he’s glad he can speak for himself. He would also say that he never agreed with the morality behind his actions over the past year alongside Seth Rollins.
“Yeah, I earned it. But it is good to finally speak for myself. You know, Seth is a manipulator. He told me to do things and I did it. Not that I agreed with it, but he’s a massive manipulator. But it’s good,” said Murphy.
In regards to the budding relationship between Murphy and Aalyah, Rey Mysterio would say that sometimes in life you need to move forward by being able to forgive and that it is important for him as a father to know that his children are with the right people.
“Plenty of time for a change. Always. In order to accept someone, you have to forgive them. And I think we’ve done that very well,” Rey said.
He added, “As a father, you always want to see that [your children] are guided by the right person and are in the right relationship. This was a bit tricky at the beginning with all the chaos that we had gone through. But at the end of the day, we learn how to forgive and now we’re all together and I think that’s very important.”
Murphy would close by saying that he has back up next week in his match against Seth Rollins, which is one thing that Seth Rollins cannot say.
While things are going great for Murphy and his on-screen relationship, in real life, his former significant other Alexa Bliss recently got engaged to singer Ryan Cabrera. Learn more at this link.
