Rey Mysterio Becomes WWE U.S. Champion At Money In The Bank, Beat Down By Samoa Joe Post-Match
Rey Mysterio is the new U.S. Champion.
The second match of tonight’s WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view saw Samoa Joe defend the WWE United States Championship against Rey Mysterio. The match lasted no longer than eight minutes and it was Rey Mysterio pinning Joe to win the U.S. Title. There was controversy coming out of the match because the referee was out of position and missed Joe’s shoulder not being flat on the mat.

Joe was not pleased with the result of the match and decided to lay waste to Rey Mysterio in front of Rey’s son Dominic who came out to the ringside area to celebrate. Joe offered Dominic the opportunity to step into the ring but Dominic did not take the chance and Joe continued his assault on Rey until he left the ring.
