WWE Files New Trademark On “The Mechanics”

WWE filed a trademark on a former Revival name.

WWE filed a trademark on “The Mechanics” on Feb. 24. The Mechanics was name used by Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder in NXT in 2014, before the name was switched to The Revival.

The listing comes with the following description.

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely, blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.

On Feb. 18, the dup filed a trademark on “No Flips Just Fists” along with “Say Yeah” and “Top Guys.” WWE filed a trademark on “No Flips, Just Fists.” The difference between their filing of “No Flips, Just Fists” and The Revival’s is the description and a comma. 

G & S: Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas.

As previously reported, the WWE contracts of The Revival are set to expire later this year — April for Scott Dawson, June for Dash Wilder — and the duo have reportedly yet to sign new contracts despite WWE offering more than $700,000 per year.
