The Revival Are In No Rush To Make A Decision On Their Future
The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) are free agents following being released by WWE on April 10. But they are in no rush to make a decision on their future.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, options are rather limited at the moment with only AEW running live shows and no shows taking place with an audience. And though everyone is clamoring for The Revival vs. The Young Bucks and there have been teases of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder joining AEW on BTE, the duo want to play the field.
“We’re not in any rush to make a decision. There’s so many tag teams out there that we want to work with in IMPACT, ROH, AEW, and New Japan. Not saying all those companies will want us, but that’s our goal. The North in IMPACT, they’re great, I’d love to work with them. The Briscoes. Guerrillas of Destiny. Juice Robinson & David Finlay. On the top of the list is obviously the match we’ve heard about since 2016; us against The Young Bucks. There’s a lot of people we want to work with so we’re not in any hurry to make a decision,” said Dawson on Talk is Jericho.
Wilder added, “We love to work, maybe to a fault. [WWE] saw that and would make sure we were on everything, even if it wasn’t a high profile role. We were doing every live event. I think there was maybe one person ahead of us as far as matches wrestled. We take pride in working as much as we can and hard as we can. To be forced to take a step back because there’s no option to work, it’s nice to be forced to take that step back and re-evaluate. We’ve gotten offers from multiple places that are interesting. We just got out of a long-term relationship, we’re not looking for a rebound. We want to weigh the pros and cons and see what’s out there. We’re excited to sit back and relax. We get to be in control and call the shots.”
The Revival worked a total of 149 matches in 2019 across television, pay-per-view and live events.
They’ve already made post-WWE plans, changing their names to Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. They are teasing using the name FTR or The Revolt moving forward.
Elsewhere during the interview, Dawson & Wilder described the last meeting they had With Vince McMahon. You can find their full comments by clicking here.
