RESULT: Will Ospreay Versus Hiromu Takahashi For The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

He has went the distance.

The “Ticking Time Bomb” Hiromu Takahashi went the distance recently in the ‘Best Of The Super Juniors 25’ tournament as he tallied up a total of ten points to advance himself to the finals of the tournament. In order to get another shot at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Hiromu had to best a red-hot Taiji Ishimori in the finals of the tournament. Hiromu was able to prevail and stood victorious as the winner of the ‘Best Of The Super Juniors 25’. Shortly after his victory the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay made his way to the ring to address Hiromu and make him aware that Hiromu’s momentum was going to be stopped come ‘Dominion’.

Today was the day for Ospreay to do what he told Hiromu he was going to do as the two titans of NJPW’s junior heavyweight division met in the first of three main-event championship matches.

The action started off hot as neither man wasted any time taking the fight to one another or pulling out all the stops in order to be recognized as the head honcho of the junior heavyweight division. “The Aerial Assassin” went one-hundred miles an hour as he does in every match to prove to those watching that he is the best but this time around he was derailed as Hiromu locked Ospreay in with a “Time Bomb” for the win. Hiromu Takahashi is now only the second ‘Best Of The Super Juniors’ tournament winner in history to go on and capture the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship following the tournament.
