Report: WWE Still Interested In A WWE Horsewomen vs. MMA Horsewomen Angle
The idea of WWE putting an angle between their own version of the Four Horsewomen vs. Ronda Rousey's MMA Four Horsewomen is still something the company wants to do, according to reports.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that there are still plans of having the two groups face off against each other and some ideas have been thrown around. One idea is to have the two groups face off against one another at a Dual-Branded pay-per-view such as Survivor Series. This would help fix the problem that half of the WWE Horsewomen are on Raw (Sasha Banks and Bayley) and the other half are on SmackDown (Charlotte and Becky Lynch).
Another idea being thrown around is having Charlotte have a one-on-one match against Rousey. The plan of Rousey having a singles match in WWE has been in the works for some time and there were rumors that Rousey could have had a match against Stephanie McMahon after Rousey, McMahon, The Rock and Triple H had an in-ring segment at WrestleMania 31. Fightful broke the news last month that Rousey is currently training to for a pro wrestling run in WWE.
Regarding MMA Horsewomen member Shayna Baszler, fellow stablemate Jessamyn Duke confirmed on her Twitch channel that Baszler did sign with WWE. Baszler made it all the way to the finals of the Mae Young Classic, losing to Kairi Sane on the live special on September 12.
