Report: WWE Interested Rachael Ellering, Karen Q And Beer City Bruiser

WWE is always looking to add to their talent pool and three names have popped up as potential targets.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Karen Q and Rachael Ellering are currently on WWE’s radar. Both ladies competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic.

Ellering, wrestling under the name Rachel Evers, lost in the opening round to Hiroyo Matsumoto. She is the daughter of manager Paul Ellering, who served as the mouthpiece for the Authors of Pain during their NXT run.

Karen Q also lost in the first round of the tournament to Xia Li. She is currently scheduled to compete at ROH Final Battle on Dec. 14, where she will challenge for the Women of Honor Championship.

Karen Q and Ellering faced each other during the Mae Young Classic tapings in a non-tournament bout.

The other name on WWE’s radar is Matt Winchester, aka Beer City Bruiser. In a post on Facebook, Winchester said, “Excited to share what I have in store for 2019 after my contract expires Dec. 31.” He is currently scheduled to be part of ROH Final Battle Fallout on Dec. 15.

As previously reported, WWE is also interested in Trevor Lee, ACH, Shane Strickland, and KUSHIDA. WWE is expected to announce the new crop of Performance Center recruits in January. Jonah Rock will reportedly be part of the class.
