Report: WWE Believes Lars Sullivan Will Be Out Six To Nine Months With Knee Injury; Undergoes Surgery

An update on Lars Sullivan.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Lars Sullivan’s knee injury is worse than initially anticipated. According to Meltzer, those in WWE believe Sullivan will be out six to nine months. Sullivan underwent an MRI during the week.

Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live reports that Lars underwent successful surgery this morning.

WWE has yet to confirm the injury.

Fightful Select was told last week that Sullivan was hoping to be back in action after a week off, which isn’t the case now.

Sullivan has not appeared on WWE television since defeating the Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 handicap match on the June 10 episode of Raw. Sullivan has been heavily featured on WWE Raw and SmackDown since making his main roster debut following WrestleMania 35.

The main roster run of The Freak has not come without controversy as old insensitive and derogatory internet posts were brought back to light with Sullivan being moved up the card. Sullivan issued an apology for his comments and WWE fined him $100,000 for his past comments.

Titus O’Neil went on record, forgiving Sullivan for his previous comments, believing Sullivan is a changed man. You can view O’Neil’s comments on his talk with Sullivan by clicking here.

Fightful will provide an update on Sullivan when more is known.
