Report: WrestleMania 36 & The Raw After WrestleMania To Be Taped This Week
WrestleMania 36 is reportedly going to be taped this week.
According to a report from PWInsider, WWE is set to tape several of its upcoming episodes of Raw, SmackDown, NXT as well as WrestleMania 36. With WrestleMania 36 taking place at the Performance Center, WWE will tape the show on March 25 and March 26.
WrestleMania 36 is the first time the show not only takes place at the Performance Center, but also will be a two-night event, airing on the WWE Network on April 4 and 5. There are eight matches officially confirmed for WrestleMania 36 with more matches likely being announced in the coming days. Edge challenged Randy Orton to a last man standing fight but as of this writing, WWE has yet to officially announce the match. In addition, Daniel Bryan will challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship if Drew Gulak defeats Shinsuke Nakamura on an upcoming episode of SmackDown.
Two matches that are reportedly not happening at WrestleMania this year are the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and women’s battle royal. The show will be hosted by former NFL player and Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski.
The report stated that March 21 will have tapings for SmackDown’s March 27 and April 3 episodes with March 22 serving as tapings for content to be used in some for future episodes of NXT. As for Raw, tapings for the March 23 and March 30 episode will take place on March 23 and 24.
Fightful Select exclusively reported that in addition to WWE filming up until WrestleMania, those involved are also under the impression that the Raw after WrestleMania is supposed to be filmed this week as well. We’re told that this week was extremely hectic for those at the top of WWE, especially those working remotely, with their “phones ringing off the hook.”
