Report: Vince McMahon ‘Threw A Fit’ Over Working Ability Of Certain Main Roster Guys
Vince McMahon was reportedly not thrilled with some main roster performers.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon reportedly “threw a fit” over the working ability of certain main roster guys. McMahon was reportedly “mad in particular about some of the big guys.”
Furthermore, McMahon reportedly ordered some of them back to the WWE Performance Center for two classes per week with Adam Pearce and Drew Gulak as the instructors.
It was not stated who the performers were or when the incident happened.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Otis, Keith Lee, Dabbo Kato, Dio Maddin and AJ Styles’ bodyguard Omos are among the names WWE is looking to “refine” inside the ring. Those talents are taking part in training sessions at WWE Performance Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Johnson also notes that Arturo Ruas needed “additional seasoning” despite being being drafted by Raw during the WWE Draft. Ruas faced Kushida on the November 18 episode of NXT and suffered an arm injury in the bout.
Pearce currently serves as the unofficial general manager on WWE Raw and SmackDown while also occupying the role of a backstage producer in WWE. He previously served as a full-time trainer at the WWE Performance Center before moving into the producer role. Gulak is an active performer on WWE Raw.
Fightful will provide more details on the situation if and when they are known.
