Report: Sexy Star’s Time With AAA Likely Over
Sexy Star has been getting pulled from several bookings in the United States since her TripleMania incident with Rosemary and now it looks like her time with AAA may also be done.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sexy Star was pulled from the October AAA show in Tokyo. At this time, it appears she’s done with the promotion in the aftermath of the Rosemary incident at TripleMania.
There have been signs that AAA has not been too pleased with the whole ordeal, recently stripping Sexy Star of the Reina de Reinas title which Sexy Star successfully defended on the TripleMania event from August 26.
Since the incident where Sexy Star applied a shoot armbar on Rosemary, injuring the former TNA Knockouts champion in a fatal four-way match, Sexy Star has been heavily criticized by the wrestling community for the lack of professionalism and for going into business for herself. The Lucha Underground star has also made a couple of statements regarding the incident and has insisted that she did not think she seriously injured Rosemary at the time.
Sexy Star spent the majority of her career wrestling for AAA, starting with the company since 2007, becoming a major women's wrestling star in Mexico. She became more widely known to U.S. wrestling fans for her work in Lucha Underground, where she is a former Lucha Underground champion, the first, and only, woman to ever hold that title.
