WWE Confirms Rowan Suffered Injury At WWE SummerSlam, Needs Surgery

Bad break for Rowan and the Bludgeon Brothers.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Rowan suffered tore his bicep at SummerSlam. He will head to Birmingham, Alabama this week for surgery. WWE confirmed the injury and surgery on Wednesday.

Rowan previously suffered a torn bicep in 2015 and was out of action for four months.

The Bludgeon Brothers will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The New Day in a No Disqualification match tonight on Smackdown.

He was scheduled to take part in Monday’s SmackDown live event in Atlantic City, but was not on the card. 

Harper & Rowan defended their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles against the New Day at SummerSlam. Big E & Xavier Woods won the match by disqualification, but Harper & Rowan retained after thwacking New Day with their hammers. The finish suggests that the feud was scheduled to continue after SummerSlam

The Bludgeon Brothers won the Smackdown Tag Team titles at WrestleMania, defeating New Day and The Usos in a triple threat tag team match.
