Report: Rick Steiner’s Son Receives WWE Tryout
The latest WWE tryout was Steinerized.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bronson Rechsteiner recently had a WWE tryout. Rechsteiner had a successful career in college football was signed by the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens earlier this year. However, the Ravens waived the rookie in early August enabling him to pursue wrestling.
In April, Bronson said he’d be open to wrestling but remained dedicated to football.
“I’m open to it,” said Rechsteiner to Sports Illustrated. “But I know wrestling will always be there for me. It’s always been my dream to carry the family’s legacy in professional sports, and I’m staying focused on taking football as far as I can.”
Bronson made his indie debut against Jamie Hall at the AWF/WOW WrestleJam 8 event in Georgia back in October. Bronson had Scott Steiner in his corner and won using Scott’s submission, The Steiner Recliner.
In other tryout news, Lacey Ryan, the wife of wrestler Tom Howard, was described as the standout talent from the recent all-women’s tryout camp at the WWE Performance Center, according to Dave Meltzer. It was reported that Ryan has been somewhat offered a deal in the sense if she passes medicals and background and everything else she would then be offered a deal and would be expected to start with the next class in early 2021.
