Report: Ric Flair’s Last Match Drew Gate Of Over $448,000 And 24,000 PPV Buys

Ric Flair’s Last Match was one of the biggest independent shows ever. 

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Ric Flair’s Last Match drew over 6,800 fans for a live gate revenue of $448,502. Meltzer also reports that the show drew between 20,000 and 25,000 buys via streaming PPV buys and nearly 4,200 more through linear PPV.

Meltzer notes that it’s the second largest independent wrestling show ever trailing only All In in 2018, which drew 10,541 fans for a live gate revenue of $458,525. 

Ric Flair’s Last Match was held at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN. The event was part of WWE SummerSlam and Starrcast V weekend and aired on FITE TV.

The event was originally scheduled to be held at The Fairgrounds in Nashville, but was moved to a larger venue due to strong sales.

The event was headlined by Ric Flair, wrestling in his last match, teaming with Andrade El Idolo to take on Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett. The event featured talent from all major promotions including WWE, AEW, IMPACT, NJPW, ROH, MLW, and more.
